Before : Targa roof + seals + 1/4 lights + electric windows poor fit & previous incorrect recovering work.
After : Targa recovered correctly , seals replaced , 1/4 lights & electric windows aligned to roof
Top left: Roof frame and plates. Top Right: Assembled into car ready to have the re-inforcing webbing fitted (see bottom picture). This is done on the car with the webbing under tension. Bottom: Roof removed with the webbing fitted, this is the first process of building up and locates the roof plates together.
Electric window too high, deforming rubber top stop, creating water leak / wind noise problems.
Rubber top stop & glass in correct alignment when window fully raised, glass approx only slightly higher 2mm to 3mm than top of quarter light frame.
2 x sections of plastic fitted prior to main membrane.
Door membrane fully fitted, ready for water test.
Water test prior to door trim re-fitment & any adjustments needed to 1/4 lights / windows / seals.
Correct alignment between front frame seal ( top ) & lateral seal, the fit between the roof lateral seal & front frame seal should look as though they one clean following surface for quarter light frame & door glass to match to, see area circled in red, see also correct flush fit of roof on front edge.
